recently:
11/7/00//34th entry, i am a dork who wants to be in a musical
beats !!

today in math class i started getting very nervous for the musical auditions on friday. so i proceeded to write myself a list of pointers. i will convey the list to you via my diary.

pointers:

-start singing low. you don't want to go too high!
-sing loud and clear. you don't want your voice to crack, or to slur your words.
-take lots of medicine: colds are stinky!
-get louder as you go. it's easier for you to go louder than higher. plus, it sounds better.
-don't get nervous before auditions. It's not the end of the world if you don't get a part. And don't talk to too many people on friday: it raises blood pressure to talk a lot.
-ignore the people watching you while you sing/act. they don't give two shits if you do well or not.
-relax! you'll be fine! you're getting hyped up for no reason. look at you, you're writing yourself notes! you loser!

and thus concludes my list of pointers.

I am such a mega-dork.

and, just to let you know, the play is "Anything Goes". for auditions we have to sing part of the chorus of the song "Anything Goes" and perform two dialogues, one for Bonnie and one for Hope. you also have to do a little dance number. the judges then decide, from that material, what part you get. pretty cool huh?
